i can’t help but feel that these photographs are some of my best work yet. when i look at them, they truly move me.
it’s not just because emilia is heart-stoppingly beautiful. or even just the ethereal light, composition, or flattering poses.
i think it’s because i am made to feel that i can really see her. that when we, as women, strip ourselves of all the self consciousness, beauty issues, and fear of being ourselves- what is left is remarkable beauty and freedom.
that’s kind of what inspired me to take a leap into soft, romantic, intimate portraiture. the idea of using photography to empower women makes me feel that same thing.

Beautifully done. I especially love that you featured a model who many woman can relate to. The beauty of her curves, her personality, and her confidence speak through the photographs. You did it again Tahni!
