Doing sessions like this one with Hunter make me feel closer to the kind of editorial, anthropologie-esque photography that I aspire to. I’m used to shooting couples that when I do portrait sessions like this, I’m always amazed at how much I love shooting creative people by themselves. Hunter is a senior this year and it is so obvious how successful she is going to be as a person, not to mention that she already has excellent music taste, an incredible sense of style, and is really just funny. This session turned out so beautifully and I’m hoping to get to do more like this with fashion-minded people.

Our session pulled together at the last minute when I had another cancellation and I’m so glad it did. Hunter is a photographer herself and I hope to see her in the photography world at some point.  I have to point out that all the props in this session have special meaning to their family. Both the indian headdress and the 1930s bicycle belong to Hunter’s grandfather, I couldn’t get over how awesome they were.

: ) enjoy!
